The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (Turkish: Yurtdışı Türkler ve Akraba Topluluklar Başkanlığı; YTB) were guests at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
Established to strengthen relations with Turks and fraternal societies in different countries, this institution also will provide state grants to foreign students studying in Turkey. Currently, Uzbek students constitute the majority studying in this country based on YTB grants.
Deputy Director Otabek Muhammadiev welcomed the delegation led by Zulgoyib Aqqush, the adviser to the head of the department, and introduced the activities of the Center Museum and Library. The prospects of cooperation between the Center and the YTB in science and education were discussed during the dialogue.
The guests also met with Dr. Derya Idikurt, a Turkish researcher who is doing scientific practice at the Center. In the conversation, favorable conditions and wide opportunities for scientific activity were mentioned here.
