Robin Shulman, the coordinator for Central Asia of the Office of International Religious Freedom of the US State Department, visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
The high-ranking guests were welcomed by the director of the Center, Shovosil Ziyadov, deputy director Otabek Muhammadiev, and scientific staff of the pilgrimage tourism development department.
At the beginning of the visit, the guests were informed about the history of the Center’s creation, the architectural solutions of the building construction, the directions of scientific research being carried out here, and the achieved results.
Shulman got acquainted with the Central Museum. Guests showed great interest in exhibits on the life and scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari. They got acquainted with the activities of the center’s scientific library and look through the samples of literature from the book fund.
During the visit, the guests were shown the process of scanning manuscript copies. And in a conversation, R. Shulman highly appreciated the current state of cooperation between the two countries and the results of the reforms in the religious and educational sphere in recent years in our country.
